Frequently Asked Questions

Wind-Weighted® tarps have a built-in hem that holds the tarp flat and securely in place without sandbags, stakes, or external anchoring. This makes them faster to deploy and safer for groundskeeping crews, especially in windy conditions. Non-weighted tarps are traditional vinyl covers that require external anchoring — they're lighter, easier to store, and well-suited for fields with covered storage areas or lower wind exposure where the additional anchoring system isn't needed.
For mound and home plate covers, standard sizes are available but custom shapes and dimensions are common for fields with non-standard specs. Fill out the Request Info form and our team will walk you through the measurement process.
Yes. Wind-Weighted® tarps and non-weighted tarps are all available with CHROMA-BOND® Multi-Color Imprinting. Logos, team names, and graphics are printed directly into the material — not applied as a surface decal — producing a professional finish that holds up through repeated deployments, weather exposure, and field use. This is a popular option for high school, college, and professional programs that want branded field protection visible during games and broadcasts.
The BP Zone® is a batting practice turf protection system consisting of a turf protector mat and a cage collar that surrounds the batting cage during practice sessions. It's designed for fields with artificial turf or well-maintained natural grass that need to be preserved for game use. Without protection, batting practice foot traffic, cleats, and equipment drag can cause significant wear in the cage area over a season. The BP Zone® is a smart investment for any program that uses the same field for both practice and competition.
Lifespan depends heavily on usage frequency, storage practices, and field conditions. Tarps that are properly drained, dried, and stored off the ground in a covered facility between uses can last many seasons. The most common causes of premature wear are UV degradation from being left deployed in direct sun, improper folding that stresses seams over time, and dragging across rough surfaces during deployment. Our team can advise on best practices for your specific product and usage pattern.
Yes. The Bench Zone® Sideline Turf Protector is designed specifically for football and soccer fields, protecting artificial turf in high-traffic bench and team areas where cleats and equipment cause the most wear. It has been used at major bowl games and professional stadiums. The Cross-Over Zone® Track Protector addresses the vulnerable turf-to-track transition area where athletes cross from the field to the running track, extending track surface life significantly in multi-sport facilities.
